LITTLETON, Mass., Sept. 30, 2008 – Becky Bingham, President of the NeuroSolution Center here since 2005, has become certified in EEG biofeedback by The Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA). Bingham joins an elite group of professionals who have met the education, clinical and exam criteria required in order to become a certified provider of Neurofeedback services.

In her practice, Bingham skillfully and uniquely blends medical science, Neurofeedback, and other innovations with deep personal experience to treat the symptoms of illnesses such as ADD/ADHD, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, OCD, PTSD, learning disorders, and more.

"Neurofeedback is like behavioral modification for the brain ", says Bingham. "When you receive positive feedback, you continue your behavior to receive more positive feedback. The brain operates the same way. The symptoms of many neurological disorders, such as ADD, anxiety, depression, and more can usually be treated using Neurofeedback. By measuring brain activity and providing feedback the brain can be trained and the symptoms reduced or eliminated altogether. "

Certification demonstrates professionalism and adherence to carefully developed standards as a health care provider. Procedures are consistent with the Department of Health & Human Services Guidelines, giving credibility and evidence that practitioners maintain knowledge and skill levels. Health care professionals who achieve BCIA Certification demonstrate commitment to professionalism by completing degree and educational requirements, learning to apply clinical biofeedback skills during mentorship, and passing an intensive written examination.

The Biofeedback Certification Institute of America ( BCIA www.bcia.org) is the only institute recognized worldwide granting certification to biofeedback & neurofeedback practitioners. BCIA was established in 1981 with the mission of protecting the general public by establishing strict standards for biofeedback and neurofeedback practitioners. Currently, more than 1,500 health care professionals have achieved certification in either general, EEG (Neurofeedback), or pelvic muscle dysfunction biofeedback. Many clinicians have more than one certification.

Bingham specializes in helping adults and children overcome the crippling effects of disorders such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, learning disorders, and more. She welcomes referrals from other medical professionals. She sees patients individually in her office in Littleton.
